Delay Upstreams with new option to Allow Patch Versions

The Delay Upstreams policy in Bytesafe is one of the most popular policies that protects downstream clients from new packages that have not yet reached a desired level of maturity since release. The new option Allow patch versions has been added to allow for the immediate release of patches that fix vulnerabilities.

Delay Upstreams Policy with the option Allow patch versions

Many critical vulnerabilities are found and fixed quickly by the community, often within hours or days. While the Delay Upstreams policy blocks everything, blocking releases which contain patches might not be ideal.

To avoid delaying patches you can now enable the Allow patch versions option to automatically make patch releases available downstream, keeping exposure windows short.

Go to the Delay upstreams > Settings to enable it.
