As part of our commitment to keeping pace with the evolving cybersecurity landscape, we are announcing the discontinuation of the Source Repositories feature in Bytesafe, effective July 31, 2024. This strategic shift allows us to better align with industry standards and enhance our security and compliance capabilities through SBOM Observer.
Why are we making this change?
The cybersecurity landscape is rapidly evolving, with Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs) increasingly vital for enhancing transparency and security in software supply chains. To address these evolving market needs, including new regulations, and to streamline our offerings, we are focusing on expanding our capabilities in dependency management and SBOM management at scale.
Transitioning to SBOM Observer: A strategic upgrade
SBOM Observer integrates seamlessly with both commercial and open-source SCA tools that produce SBOMs in CycloneDX or SPDX formats. With support for nearly 30 ecosystems, SBOM Observer is ideally equipped to manage your SBOMs across various workflows and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
